The British Council has some nice activities for reinforcing a classroom discussion of the the seasons.
Spring Word Set: sun, bird, leaf, bee, flower, butterfly, tree, nest
Spring Vocabulary Activity
This activity requires that the kids drag the vocabulary word to the appropriate spot in the picture. The spring picture and tactile movement of the mouse are great for ESL kids!
Suggested teaching activities:
- Follow this activity up by asking the kids to draw their own pictures of the spring season. Put the pictures around the room.
- Send the link home as homework.
Winter Word Set: scarf, hat, gloves, coat, socks, trousers
Color Word Set: pink, red, orange, brown, yellow, black
The kids need to listen as the activity tells them what color to make each piece of winter clothing. The listening practice and tactile movement of the mouse are great for ESL kids!
