Body Parts: Listening and Speaking Practice with Internet Applications

Requirements: This post requires that you have a classroom computer. A projection system, large screen TV, or interactive white board would be ideal.

Kindersay.com has supplied us with some great speaking activities, including body vocabulary.

1. The website shows the body part giving kids a chance to produce the appropriate language.
2. After a few seconds a woman says the body part allowing ESL kids to hear and practice proper pronunciation.

Suggested teaching activities:

• Model the internet application in class, showing kids how to use the activity for speaking practice. Send home a link to the website allowing kids to practice speaking with their parents at home.
• If you have a computer center in class, include this link with your other ESL activities.

This activity requires that your kids listen to instructions for building a monster one body part at a time. ESL kids must know their body parts and color vocabulary words for this activity.
